Alpha Tauri confirmed on Friday that Pierre Gasly would be part of the team for the 2023 season.
Gasly has been the main driver for the Faenza-based outfit after his move to the Red Bull team in 2019 failed. After signing on as a replacement for Daniel Ricciardo, the French driver struggled to partner Max Verstappen and was ultimately replaced by Alex Albon.
While Gasly was looking at a move back to the main team, Sergio Perez’renewal with Red Bull has put an end to his hopes and he has now extended his stay with the team where he won his first Formula One race.
